LCD or Plasma? I’m SHOPPING for a new HDTV and can’t make up my mind ?

The tv will be located in my basement, so light is a non-issue. The tv will be used primarily for gaming, watching blue-ray movies, and sports. I have listed the model numbers in case anyone has either of my two top choices. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Plasma – PN58A550

The December issue of Consumer Reports has the complete list of pro’s and con’s of LCD and plasma. Free at the library. They are both so wonderful that you can not make a bad decision.

Otherwise pick the PN58
LCD-1080p
if you find a good deal on samsung that would be good..however alternative cheaper brands are also very good, vizio, olevia, sharp, etc etc etc.
Avoid Plasma if you have young children who insist on touching the screen – on purpose or by accident, especially when gaming. Oil and dirt and pressure from fingers ruin the screen.
